The Bible teaches that individual human life begins at the moment of conception [Genesis 25:21-23; Jeremiah 1:4-5].  Therefore it is wrong to take that life for any reason other than a threat to the mother’s life due to the pregnancy.  While the issues involved in bringing about the pregnancy may be tragic and traumatic, including rape and incest, the unborn child should still be afforded the rights and protections offered to persons in the 14th amendment to the US Constitution.  No state can deprive a person of life, liberty or property without due process of law and every person is to be afforded equal protection under the law.  More important than the US Constitution is the very Word of God which teaches the sanctity of human life, because mankind has been made in the image and likeness of God.  [Genesis 1:26-27; Exodus 21:22-23; Luke 1:30-33]
